PEPSICO is facing a boycott after announced acquisition of Soda Stream. 

The Boycott, Divestment and Sanctions (BDS) movement, said that SodaStream was still “subject to the boycott” in the movement for equal Palestinian rights.  And, accordingly, Pepsico is at risk.   Link

 

SAM ADAMS BEER boycott supported by Boston city councilor.   

City Councilor and congressional candidate Ayanna Pressley offered her support for Somerville Mayor Joe Curtatone’s boycott of the Boston Beer Company, after the maker of Sam Adams praised President Trump’s tax cuts. Link

SALESFORCE employee protests expand outside firm to activist organizations.  

Salesforce, the Silicon Valley cloud computing giant, is being targeted by activists hoping to force the company to end its contract with US Customs and Border Protection (CBP) amid accusations that the agency is violating human rights.  Link

 

VERIZON sued by feds for slowing data speeds, hampering California wildfire response. 

Santa Clara County Fire Capt. Bill Murphy told CNN that the department's connection speed dropped to what you would expect from a dial-up service, making simple tasks like sending an email or updating a Google document almost impossible.  "The Internet has become an essential tool in providing fire and emergency response, particularly for events like large fires. ” Link
